Barbara Bjornson Barbara Bjornson is the vice president of operations for Axia. She has more than 25 years of experience, primarily in the management consulting industry, with expertise in finance, human resources and operations. She has significant experience in financial modeling, management reporting, and global risk management. Barbara is responsible for compensation plan design, policy development and implementation, and staffing/professional development. She has driven operational redesign, internal controls implementation, and firm governance development and documentation.
Prior to joining Axia in 2007, Barbara was vice president of administration for the Coyle Company in Waltham, a privately-held estate planning and life insurance agency serving high net-worth individuals. Barbara began her career at Arthur Andersen in New York City, serving clients primarily in the retail and publishing industries. Subsequently, as manager of finance for a division of The Limited, she supported the merchandising and advertising functions in New York City while collaborating closely with the distribution center in Indianapolis.
She then joined Bain & Company in Boston and during her 17-year tenure, was responsible for several key functions including business compliance and legal practices, financial planning and analysis and human resources.
Barbara received her M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is a Certified Public Accountant.
