Gerry O'Connor Gerry O'Connor is chief operating officer of Axia Limited. His expertise is in strategic management of costs and includes turnarounds, activity-based costing for strategic decision-making, strategic sourcing, expense analysis and operational process re-engineering.
Gerry's experience has focused on the evaluation and analysis of strategic, operational, and financial issues for pharmaceutical, manufacturing, distribution and retail clients. In addition, his work has included re-engineering financial reporting systems, development of strategic sourcing programs, work for acquisition candidates, development and implementation of overall cost reduction and cash generation programs, operational benchmarking and market due diligence. Gerry's responsibilities at Axia Limited also include management of all aspects of the firm’s operations.
Prior to joining Axia, Gerry spent 12 years in boutique strategy consulting firms, including eight years as a principal for The Lucas Group where he initiated that firm's strategic cost management practice. Gerry also spent several years at deNovis, Inc., a healthcare software firm where he served as vice president of economics with responsibility for financial operations and customer account management and at Arthur Andersen & Co. where he supervised audit engagements in the retail, utilities and manufacturing industries.
Gerry holds a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
